Founder and Managing Partner, Disruption Ventures

Elaine Kunda is the Founder and Managing Partner of Disruption Ventures a VC fund focused on investing in early stage tech companies founded by women. Prior to starting Disruption , she had a very successful career as an entrepreneur and operator. She built teams and realigned business strategies for over 15 years. She was the CEO of two venture backed companies and had two successful exits. In addition, she spent many years consulting and advising early stage companies reach their goals and access financing.

Elaine has always had a focus on the economic empowerment of women and was one of the founding advisors to the Global organization, G(irls)20, which works to encourage G7 and G20 leaders to prioritize the political empowerment and economic freedom of females worldwide. Elaine also served two terms on the McMaster University Alumni Board where she co-developed a mini-documentary on Women in Engineering. Elaine also served as a Mentor to Next Canada for 2 year, including Sensassure, which has had the most successful exit to date from the program.
